परिचय - दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के समाप्त होने के बाद दुनिया में एक विचित्र स्थिति पैदा होने लगी जिसे एक अमेरिकी कूटनीतिक "बर्नार्ड बारूक" ने शीतयुद्ध का नाम दिया।
दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के बाद की स्थिति -दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के समाप्त होने के कुछ समय के बाद की स्थिति पूरी तरह विचित्र हो गई। विश्व दो दलों में बट गया। दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के दो दोस्तों के बीच अपना वर्चस्व कायम करने की लड़ाई शुरू हो गई है। यह दो देश सोवियत संघ और अमेरिका था। सोवियत संघ साम्यवाद का पक्ष लेता था और अमेरिका पूंजीवाद का पक्ष लेता था। दोनों ही स्वयं पक्षों को विश्व में फैलाना चाहता था। जिसके कारण विश्व में तनाव की स्थिति पैदा होने लगी। जिसे शीत युद्ध का नाम दिया गया।
शीत युद्ध के उदय के कारण ओरल्टा समझौतों का अनादर- याल्टा समझौते में अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति टूमैन, ब्रिटिश प्रधानमंत्री चर्चिल और सोवियत प्रधानमंत्री स्टालिन ने कई समझौते किए थे। जिसका अनुसरण सोवियत संघ ने नहीं किया।
ईरान पर सोवियत सेनाओं का कब्जा- युद्ध के समय ब्रिटेन की सहमति से सोवियत संघ ने ईरान पर अपना कब्जा कर लिया था। लेकिन सन् 1942 की त्रिपक्षीय संधि के बाद तथा जर्मनी के समर्पण के बाद सोवियत को अपनी सेना को ईरान से हटाना था। लेकिन उसने ऐसा नहीं किया ।
पोट्सडम कॉन्फ्रेंस(potsdam conference)-इस सम्मेलन में यह तय किया गया कि जर्मनी के मानव अधिकार को सुरक्षित रखा जाएगा । लेकिन फिर कई जर्मनी के लोगों को पकड़कर शिविरों में बंद कर दिया गया ।
अमेरिका के खिलाफ प्रचार- सोवियत संघ के समाचार पत्रों में अमेरिका के खिलाफ प्रचार आरंभ कर दिया । जिसमें अमेरिका की निंदा की गई।
समाजवादी का विरोध - अमेरिका ने समाजवाद का विरोध किया। सन् 1917 में सोवियत संघ में समाजवाद का स्थापना हुआ। तो पूंजीवादी देशों ने 1918 से 1919 में इसका विरोध किया।
सोवियतों के खिलाफ प्रचार - अमेरिका ने सोवियतो के खिलाफ प्रचार आरंभ किया तथा उनकी योजनाओं को विफल करने की कोशिश किया।
परमाणु यंत्रों के प्रयोग में डर- - परमाणु यंत्रों का प्रयोग का परिणाम पूरा विश्व जान चुका था। परमाणु कितना खतरनाक है उसका अनुमान भी पूरा विश्व जान चुका था। जिसके कारण इसको रोकना अत्याधिक महत्वपूर्ण महत्वपूर्ण हो चुका था। जिसके परिणाम स्वरुप विश्व में हमें परमाणु संधि को देखने को मिला। इस संधि को बनाने का कारण था विश्व में परमाणु बमों के निर्माण में नियंत्रण स्थापित करना। परमाणु बमों के नियंत्रण करने के लिए विश्व में भारत द्वारा निशस्त्रीकरण करने का मार्ग विश्व के सामने लाया गया ।
गुटनिरपेक्ष आंदोलन - गुटनिरपेक्ष आंदोलन का निर्माण भारत ने किया। इस आंदोलन को बनाने का उद्देश्य था किसी भी देश के संस्कृति ,सामाजिक तथा आर्थिक मामलों को संरक्षण प्रदान करना । इस आंदोलन का पहले तो पूरे विश्व में आलोचना हुआ। इस को अपमानित भी किया गया। भारत ने इसे 15 अगस्त 1947 के बाद इसे अपनाया। भारत ने इस आंदोलन को पूरे विश्व के देशों को अपनाने की गुजारिश भी की।
परिणाम स्वरूप दक्षिण भागों के कुछ देशों ने गुटनिरपेक्ष का सहारा लिया । शीत युद्ध एक ऐसा युद्ध था जिसमें हमें विश्व में तनाव की स्थिति देखने को मिली यह विशेष तौर पर दो महा शक्तियों के बीच में ही था जो सोवियत संघ तथा अमेरिका था। इस युद्ध में ऐसे कई स्थिति आए जिसमें पूरे विश्व को लग रहा था कि पूरा विश्व तीसरे विश्वयुद्ध के चपेट में आने वाला है । इसका परिणाम यह निकला कि विश्व में कई संघ का निर्माण किया गया तथा सभी देश अपने देशों का संरक्षण तथा सुरक्षा करने लगे शीत युद्ध का अंत सोवियत संघ के विघटन के बाद रुका।
भारत और शीत युद्ध -दूसरे महायुद्ध के बाद विश्व में शीतयुद्ध का उदय हुआ। भारत में शीत युद्ध के बढ़ते प्रभाव को देखते हुए पहले ही कह दिया कि भारत इस प्रकार की युद्ध से दूर रहेगा ।
भारत शांति तथा सुरक्षा के क्षेत्र में योगदान देने का मार्ग पूरे विश्व में फैलाया। जिसके कारण उसने इस समय निशस्त्रीकरण तथा गुटनिरपेक्ष का सहारा लिया तथा इसका पालन करने के लिए पूरे विश्व को कहा।

Introduction - After the end of the Second World War, a strange situation began to occur in the world, which an American diplomat "Bernard Baruch" called the Cold War.
The situation after the second world war - shortly after the end of the second world war, the situation became completely bizarre. The world got divided into two teams. The battle between the two friends of the second world war to establish their supremacy began. These two countries were Soviet Union and America. The Soviet Union favored communism and the US favored capitalism. Both wanted to spread their sides to the world. Due to which, a situation of tension was created in the world. Which was called the Cold War.
Reasons for the rise of the Cold War
Disrespect of Yalta Agreements - In the Yalta agreement, several agreements were signed by US President Tumen, British Prime Minister Churchill and Soviet Prime Minister Stalin. Which was not followed by the Soviet Union.
Soviet forces occupy Iran - During the war, the Soviet Union took over Iran with the consent of Britain. But after the trilateral treaty of 1942 and the surrender of Germany, the Soviet had to withdraw its army from Iran. But he did not do so.
Potsdam conference - In this conference, it was decided that the human rights of Germany would be protected. But then many Germans were captured and locked in camps.
Campaigning against America - Started campaigning against America in Soviet Union newspapers. In which America was condemned.
Opposing Socialist - America opposed socialism. Socialism was established in the Soviet Union in 1917. So the capitalist countries opposed it from 1918 to 1919.
Propaganda against the Soviets - America started campaigning against the Soviets and tried to thwart their plans.
Fear in the use of nuclear devices - The result of the use of nuclear devices was known to the whole world. The whole world had known the estimate of how dangerous nuclear is. Because of which stopping it had become extremely important. As a result, we got to see nuclear treaty in the world. The reason for making this treaty was to establish control in the manufacture of nuclear bombs in the world. The path of disarmament by India was brought to the world to control atomic bombs.
Non-Aligned Movement - India formed the Non-Aligned Movement. The purpose of creating this movement was to provide protection to the culture, social and economic affairs of any country. This movement was first criticized all over the world. It was also humiliated. India adopted it after 15 August 1947. India also requested to adopt this movement to countries all over the world.
As a result, some countries in the southern parts resorted to non-alignment. The Cold War was a war in which we got to see the state of tension in the world, it was especially between the two super powers, which were the Soviet Union and America. There were many situations in this war in which the whole world felt that the whole world was going to be hit by the Third World War. The result of this was that many federations were formed in the world and all countries started protecting and protecting their countries. The end of the Cold War stopped after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
